okay firstly there’s the issue of the lack of focus. this implies that the camera was pulled out in a rush and the picture was taken with no prior preparation. so even if it was a dare/bet/whatever, they went into it with a motive that was not publicity.

second, their hands. gabe’s is obviously around the back of william’s neck, either holding him there or pulling him in. william’s is on gabe’s face, with one finger extended, with no apparent force being put into the gesture. pretend we didn’t already know that gabe was the dominant one for a second, but dude he’s obviously dominant. william’s head is even leaning in toward gabe from the neck.

third, you can tell by the way william’s features are that his eyes are NOT OPEN and that gabe’s probably aren’t either. we all know that if it’s a quick kiss/one you aren’t into that you keep your eyes open and try not to focus on what’s happening. they obviously know what they’re doing here. if that doesn’t scream about how much they care about each other through a metaphorical megaphone i don’t know what does.
